Glove Box Extension Kit with FerroLoader Docking Station for UHVCTS and Cryo-Loading Station

A complete cryo loading and -transfer system for Glove Boxes is provided. Samples can be prepared in a liquid nitrogen basin inside the glovebox and directly transferred from the LN2 bath to a precooled stage in an ultra high vacuum chamber (1E-7 to 1E-9mbar). Subsequently the sample is transferred to the ultra high vacuum suitcase (UHVCTS) docked to the FerroLoader.

The Ferrovac environmentally controlled loading and transfer system is ready to be installed on any kind of glove box with a matching side panel cut-out.

Fully assembled and tested, the system is mounted on a height adjustable trolley which makes docking and installation to the glove box simple and user friendly. The cart is included in the scope of delivery and can be left in place permanently or removed after installation and stowed away. In the latter case, the provided support bars for the FerroLoader must be installed.

Typical applications are in the field of battery materials research, material science in general, as well as preparation of vitrified biological samples.
